The new planes joining Turkish Airlines` fleet are so comfy that, forget waiting to board, you`ll be impatient for your return flight!

Whatever class they fly, passengers are usually impatient to get back on the ground ASAP.

This anxiety can be even greater on long-haul flights. But that of course was before Turkish Airlines` brand new cabin concept and the Global Communication Suite (GCS) that has been integrated with the airline`s own trademark Planet In-Flight Entertainment System (IFE). Your travel now begins right in the cabin on the Boeing 777- 300ER model planes newly added to the Turkish Airlines fleet.

It`s your annual vacation, and you`re leaving the office behind to go on a trip with the wife and family. On your last day at work you are tired and a trifle anxious. In fact, there`s a report you should send off that`s only half finished, but you need to get home early to make the flight. You pick up the wife and kids from home and head for the airport. To be more comfortable on your trans-Atlantic crossing you`ve decided to fly Business Class, but you`re still looking at a flight of ten plus hours.

When you reach the airport, you check in and make a bee line for Lounge Istanbul, Turkish Airlines ` newly opened VIP Lounge. You`ve just settled in and made yourself comfortable when suddenly it`s boarding time and you wonder how you can leave all this comfort behind and get on a plane. But you`re in luck because you`re going to start your trip on one of the newest members of the Turkish Airlines fleet, a Boeing 777-300ER.

The minute you set foot in the cabin, ail the dark thoughts you were having as you left Lounge Istanbul suddenly vanish in thin air. Thanks to Turkish Airlines` new in-cabin concept designed by Priestmangoode, known around the world for its train and airline interiors, you feel right at home. Everything is tastefully appealing, from the extraordinary seat upholstery right down to the wall coverings.

In tones of grey and beige, the new in-cabin concept is muted and dignified, designed in keeping with Business Class down to the finest detail. A panel with the Turkish Airlines ` logo on a field with its trademark design is a striking example of decorative use of a company`s corporate image. In-cabin corporate identity designs are in vogue these days, and seeing your airline`s logo in this avant-garde design will gladden your heart.

You`ve only been airborne a short while when you suddenly remember that report you were supposed to finish. But your child is competing for your attention too. On Turkish Airlines` trademark Planet in-cabin flight entertainment system you find a new, age- appropriate film that`s only been out a few weeks,

Besite being an island, crete is known worldwide for its cuisine

In the last thirty years especially, when eating right for good health has become a slogan, Cretan cuisine has come in for even more attention.

It is a cuisine in which the island`s natural nutrients undoubtedly play a key role. Extremely conservative when it comes to food, the islanders` diet is firmly based on local and seasonal produce and that sine qua non, olive oil. In fact, as much as the food consumed, the way it is consumed compounds its health benefits.

Unlike westerners, Cretans do not eat their food in the order of appetizer, main dish and dessert. With the exception of desserts, all dishes hot and cold are placed on the table at once and shared by everyone alike. A traditional Cretan consumes three times as much olive oil as his American counterparts, and one and a halftimes as much as his fellow Mediterranean`s.
